Polychrome Jasper Heart

Polychrome Jasper, also  known as Desert Jasper, is a dense, microcrystalline variety of Chalcedony found by geologists in 2006 in Madagascar. It is a distant relative of Agate and is sometimes referred to as having an Agate-like appearance.It typically forms from the deposition of Iron Oxide on a cavity wall within a volcanic rock or ash-flow tuff. This creates small fibers that mix into the surrounding material giving Polychrome Jasper its distinctive appearance.
