This is a Lantian Jade Carving. It is the same as Xiu jade, not jadeite jade or Hetian Jade. Xiu jade belongs to the Serpentine  family. On the Mohs scale of mineral hardness has a score of 4.5 to 5.5. Which means it is softer and has a lighter weight than jadeite jade.
