Mica is a group of minerals characterised by their thin layered structure. There are several different types of mica some of which include, muscovite, lepidolite, biotite and phlogopite. Mica minerals are found for the most part in metamorphic and igneous rocks. They’re known for their sparking or shimmering/iridescent appearance. It is a soft mineral it grades 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs hardness scale. The largest deposits are found in India, its also mined in Madagascar and Brazil.
MIca can be used to balance and align the Chakras. It has significant grounding and protective qualities. This crystal is thought to be helpful in restoring balance and harmony and is believed to promote feelings of love, peace and happiness.
